How do I get started?
Sign up for a seller account. Fill in the short form so we know who you are and where you are. (so we can send you your vouchers)
Create a short profile including some text and a picture and upload the content you want to sell.
Choose how many, and what type of vouchers you want and pay for them.
That's it.
It's completely free to sign up.
How much money can I make?
That's entirely up to you. Once you have paid for your cards, what you sell them for is up to you. We suggest you price them realistically compared to what people would pay for the same thing elsewhere. For example:
you order 1000 cards from us @ 20p each, which all contain access to your new album.
You sell the cards at your shows for £3.00. That's £2.80 X 1000 profit for you. £2,800
I have my content on iTunes already and people can buy iTunes cards. Why do I want yours?
When customers buy one of our cards, it is exclusively for your product. No-one elses. Sure you could sell them an iTunes card and they'll promise to purchase your material but you've no guarantee. Also when you sell one of our cards you get 100% of the money you sell it for. Beat that Apple!
What's the difference between Electropuppy and it's competitors such as DiscRevolt and Fizzkicks? (Links included - go and check them out!)
a. We're for everyone. Not just musicians.
Both of these companies market their product exclusively to musicians. We represent anyone who wants to sell downloads including authors, photographers and software designers.
b. We're much more environmentally friendly. They supply their vouchers with laminated plastic coatings claiming they are a memento of your show. Firstly, We don't believe that adding to the amount of plastic already being produced or thrown away in landfill is necessary and secondly if your fans need a piece of plastic to remember your show then you're probably doing something wrong!
A CD contains approximately 90 grams of plastic and these days will probably spend most of it's life gathering dust on a shelf once it's been ripped to a music player. Our vouchers are produced on plain card (no laminate) and are fully recyclable.
c. We're cheaper. We're no frills. We don't mean cheap and shoddy, we mean we do what we do and nothing else. No sign ups for your customers, no social networks or mailing lists. Your customers enter their code and download their music. That's it.
Can I download straight to my mobile device?
Of course. We designed it that way. 3G enabled devices can access our site in all it's lo-tec glory. (we made it that way on purpose!) Also, standard 2G phones have a special wap enabled site to download straight to their phones as well. both URL's are clearly printed on all cards. Please be aware that some providers may charge extra to download to mobile devices.
